About Jean Marie Anderson

Jean Marie Anderson is the colorful co-author of the Hannah and Niki Mysteries™ series and lives happily in her very own Cumulus Cloud Cottage beside Monterey Bay, California.

Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Jean grew up as the oldest girl in a lively Catholic family with seven children. Jean’s writing career began at a tender age with a newsy neighborhood newsletter published and distributed with her friend.

Throughout Jean's school years, her native writing ability was celebrated and encouraged and when Jean won a regional writing contest in high school, it sunk in that she had writing talent to her delighted surprise.

Traveling Around the Globe

Jean loves adventures of all kinds — especially traveling.

Jean explored the USA with her sister Rosemary, finally settling in Santa Cruz, California.

With her fun Mom, family, and friends, Jean travels far and wide — from the Galapagos Islands to China. Many of the adventures in Jean's stories are based on real events of Jean's or her friends — embellished to the hilt —the fabulous decadence of fiction.

As Jean financed her college degree and searched for a positive career using her writing talents, Jean worked at jobs to expand her life experience including account clerk, law firm messenger, fish factory worker, tutor, and horse hot walker.

Jean's Writing Career!

One blessed day, Jean landed her first computer job as a Data Technician Clerk (?) because the Manager was "looking for another scuba diver for offsite trips and hoped she could cut it". Who knew those scuba lessons would pay off with a fantastic writing career!

To her amazement, Jean soon realized Technical Writing suited her love of research, amused interest in booming technologies, and her ability to communicate with Engineers in a positive way, and develop easy procedures to commercialize the product for sale.

Jean is proud of her top writing awards for writing on global teams of geniuses that commercialized the Internet technologies and built the Internet commercial business model with access for all. Hannah and Niki Are Born

As a successful consultant providing Lead Technical Writer/Project Manager and Office Disaster Survival Planning Consulting services, Jean is now fulfilling a personal dream to write mysteries for girls 10-14 that she made to herself back then.

After reading the entire Nancy Drew series as a teen, Jean was disappointed to discover that there was nothing else to read in that genre in her opinion. Jean promised herself that "when she grew up" she would write mysteries for smart girls.

With her continued consulting success, Jean is blessed to travel and write the Hannah and Niki Mysteries that take place all over the world. Each Hannah and Niki Mysteries is another dream come true.

Just like Nancy Drew inspired Jean as a smart teen girl, the teen protagonists, Hannah and Niki, encourage girls to think, be brave, be adventurous, and to develop their talents so they can contribute to the world. These fast-paced Hannah and Niki Mysteries are filled with suspense, fun, and facts that inspire, educate, and entertain.
